Silencios Imaginados by Orlando Garcia, nominated for a Latin Grammy Award, best contemporary classical composition category

Orlando Jacinto Garcia, composer (Nodus Ensemble). Track from: Sonidos Cubanos [Innova Recordings]  "Imaginary Silences" nominated for a Latin Grammy Award, to be announced on November 12 at a ceremony in Las Vegas.

The work is scored for five players - flute, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano, and was written for the Assisi Musiche Ensemble who premiered the work at the
chamber music festival in Assisi, Italy, in 2001. Performance materials are available from ACA.

The work was recorded by the NODUS Ensemble on 'sonidos cubanos' a CD
featuring the work of Cuban composers released by Innova Records, with additional works by Tania Leon, Sergio Barroso, and Ileana Perez Velazquez.
