Composer's Note:

This piece explores the edges and opposites of life—sharp, cold, yet precise and clear. It evolves from two long, sustained notes (breves with fermata) into chaos and explosion, culminating in an unexpected ending of shimmering lights and colors, reminiscent of wind chimes, followed by sharp strikes in the piano’s highest register.

Inspired by the Bösendorfer 280 VC concert grand, its exceptional tone and sustain enabled me to shape the piece’s dynamic character. The piece was written as a request for the festival of new music "Sound Ways" in St. Petersburg, Russia.
