Aaron Larget-Caplan is an international recording and touring guitarist, award winning curator, producer, publisher, and composer. A self-taught composer, Larget-Caplan’s compositional influences include John Cage, Toru Takemitsu, and the over 100 composers he has collaborated with.

As a performer, he has premiered over 120 compositions including a number of chamber works and pieces with electronics. His groundbreaking arrangements and recording of the music of John Cage are published and recorded by Edition Peters and the UK label Stone Records.

He has 11 critically acclaimed solo albums for Stone Records and Tiger Turn, and is featured on multiple other labels including Albany, ACA, and Navona. His album honey cadence, featuring his own compositions, has earned over 10 million streams since 2022.

Larget-Caplan has curated two volume anthologies of scores written for his New Lullaby Project: Nights Transfigured and Hushed. Volume 1, Nights Transfigured, won multiple Revere awards from the Music Publishers Association. Both are published by the American Composers Alliance. Larget-Caplan has received numerous awards including from the Société Académique Arts-Sciences-Lettres of Paris, France for his trailblazing work in music, and Musician in Residence at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Canada, as well as the John Cage Trust at Bard College.

Larget-Caplan is a frequent lecturer on writing for guitar, extended guitar techniques, and creating commissioning projects. Faculty appointments include the Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music and the University of Massachusetts Boston. Raised in Colorado he makes his home in Boston where he in on extension faculty at the New England Conservatory.
