WHERE THE MOUNTAIN CROSSES

WHERE THE MOUNTAIN CROSSES

A cycle of 10 songs for Mezzo Soprano and piano, employing poetry of various Native American Indian tribes, the poetry is evocative of sounds, the seasons, nature, childhood, life reflections, and lonliness. The songs are, for the most part, very lyrical and require a flexible mezzo sound capable of a wide range of expression. The piano part is difficult, and requires a great deal of coloration employing the pedals. For advanced performers only.
