No meters are indicated, metronomic indications apply to entire measures for coordinating the parts (1 beat per measure,) a conductor is required. All of the instruments employ extended performance techniques throughout, and the focus of the piece is on timbre and gesture. Requires performers grounded in the compositional and instrumental techniques of the mid to late 20th century. High difficulty.
