Wade in the Water, the second movement of Frederick Tillis's Spiritual Fantasy No. 12 for string quartet, is arranged here for string orchestra by Francesca McNeeley. It was presented in October of 2024 as part of A Far Cry's CODED concert, featuring works that touch on the legacy of Black spirituals and their ongoing survival by way of code-switching.
