Four Inventions for Solo Oboe
Four Inventions for Solo Oboe
Oboe
Editor's Note:
The Four Inventions for solo oboe are short and to the point but, even so, the movements allow for conveying a great sense of emotion, wit, and thoughtfulness in a limited and brief amount of time. They are dedicated to the well-known Austrian oboist Alfred Hertel (1935-2018). He was first oboist in the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria and professor at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna (today: Music and Art Private University of the City of Vienna ) and at the Franz Schubert Conservatory, also in Vienna.
