Thunderscreech
Thunderscreech
Violin and Viola
Composer's Note:
"Thunderscreech" was composed for the Cleveland Composers Guild's annual Creativity Project whereby member composers are assigned to compose for talented young performers and collaborate with them and their teachers to bring about a premier of the work, in this case, violinist Brian Hong and his teacher, violist Amber Rogers.
This work was inspired by the 1955 experimental Republic XF-84H turboprop aircraft and its supersonic propellers, one of the fastest single-engine propeller planes ever built.
