Through Certain Half-Deserted Streets - for Orchestra

Through Certain Half-Deserted Streets - for Orchestra

Orchestra 2222 - 2221 - timp, 3 perc, hp, cel - strings

Composer's Note:

Dumaine Street is where one can find the Voodoo Museum. Vriner's is a now closed but still extent confectionary shop originally estabblished in 1898 and to which I visited several times when I lived in Champaign-Urbana. Augusta Ave is the busy "main street" of Kensington Market, full of bustling stores of all kinds and where I lived in Toronto. My last abode before leaving New Zealand was on Glenmore Street, near the viaduct. It is a long street which goes by the entrance to the Wellington Botanical Gardens.
