Composer's Note:

Composed in the winter and early spring of 1993, this quartet is cast in four contrasting movements. The first version was premiered by students in April 1993 at the University of Michigan.

After many years, I returned to the work, converted the original Finale files to MusicXML, and prepared a new edition in Dorico. The present version (v2) incorporates revisions to the score and updates to the original notes in connection with this new edition.
