Flute and Triangle

Sparkle is a short, engaging showpiece that delights in quick character shifts and liquid register changes. It allows the flutist to display lyricism and technique across a variety of moods. The optional triangle part acts as coloration for longer notes, or provides occasional emphasis in a phrase.

This version for flute solo and triangle was later expanded by the composer into a longer quartet for flute, triangle, and two marimbas.
