Bass Clarinet (With C Extension) and Prerecorded Sound

Sandbars and Eddies uses recordings of the composer’s bass clarinet playing into various vocoders for the bulk of the audio accompaniment. There are percussive vamps in parts of the three short sections of the piece to maintain tempo underneath free-floating bass clarinet recordings. Not all of the accompaniment track is notated in the performer’s score, but the cues and timings indicated should help maintain the synchronization.
