Heavy Metal is a work for brass quintet. Each movement is based on a pitch collection derived from the digits representing the atomic weight of each element used in the creation of most brass instrument. Brass is an alloy comprising of copper and brass. And, many professional models are given a silver finish (many other plating materials are possible including gold and platinum).
