Composer's Note:

This composition is a ritual on the syllable AUM (or OM) with the heterophonic participation of the cello, marimba, harp and piano.  A pre-recorded synthesized vocal "om drone" (down-loadable mp3 sound file) is cued at the beginning of the piece and continues until its conclusion - shortly after the instrumentalists have finished. It is always heard softly in the background.

The syllable AUM is believed to be the primordial sound of the universe. It is the sound that reverberates in the cosmos and in every cell of our body...
