Warm-Up to a Fanfare

Warm-Up to a Fanfare

Mixed Ensemble 0202 - 2220 - 6 perc - 00020

Performance Notes:

Warm-up to a Fanfare is scored for a mixed ensemble of wind, brass, string, and percussion instruments divided into three groups. The instruments should be placed so that the sound of the first group is somewhat separated in the sound space from that of the second group. (For instance, the percussion might be placed in the center and Groups I and II on opposite sides of the performance space.) In any case, with the exception of the percussion, the seating, as much as is practical, should allow the apprehension, aurally and visibly, of the six duos as they are grouped and shown in the score: trumpet and oboe, horn and bassoon, cello and trombone.
