Composer's Note:

Meditation, Homage à Larry Coryell was written as a remembrance of an extraordinary performance by jazz guitarist Larry Coryell that I heard some years ago. I had been listening to Coryell for many years, and I had the great fortune to hear him play in a little place in Larchmont, NY, The Water Cafe. It was an icy winter night, and there were only about 10 people in the place. He was magnificent -one of the best musical experiences I've had.

The superb guitarist Daniel Lippel gave the premiere performance on September 14, 2023, as part of the Village Trip GuitarFest, organized and directed by William Anderson, guitarist and composer.
