Dialogues

Dialogues

Violin and Viola

Composer's Note:

Dialogues is a set of seven movements for violin and viola framed as external and internal discussions (e.g. dialogues) between the two forces. There is no specific or direct worldly theme as to the nature of these dialogues; the discourse within is entirely artistic, unfolding within the imaginary soundscape of my invention. The work is lovingly created for, and dedicated to, my two friends Erik Rohde and Jacob Tews of Sonic Apricity. They commissioned this work for a premiere performance at the American Viola Society Conference in Knoxville, June 2021.
