How To

How To

Chorus (SSAATTBB)

Composer's Note:

Setting these poems of love and loss by my friend, Bill Reichard, was a privilege. They are deep, heartfelt and intensely personal. They are also sophisticated and, simultaneously, unambiguous in their meaning. I hope that I was able to convey something of their character.

I was also fortunate enough to compose some of How To while at the Hambidge Center for the Arts and at the MacDowell Colony. I would like to thank both of these institutions for their support.
