Composer's Note:
Fem Fatale is an arrangement of a piece originally scored for violin and guitar entitled Time Served. It is an homage to György Ligeti's Piano Étude No. 8 (Fem) and the African Polyrythms it contains. As in the Ligeti work, one should play "very rhythmically and springy (with swing)" in order for the polyrhythms to be heard and felt. Similarly, there is no real meter here. the barlines and meter changes only serve to help with synchronization.
