Chamber Concerto No. 1 was completed in July, 1978, in East Lansing. It was composed for clarinetist Fred Ormand, who premiered the piece on August 16th, 1978, at the Grand Teton Music Festival in Wyoming. The revised version was ï¬nished in May, 2020, in Rochester.
