Nothing Stands is based on A.E. Housman's "When I watch the living meet," poem XII rom A Shropshire Lad (1896). The music was written in 2020 for tenor Daniel Shirley and pianist Eric Stellrecht, who gave its premiere performance in Greenville, NC jn March 2021.
