Composer's Note:
The lightly articulated, brief, melodic gestures, transient pitch emphases, lush modal harmonies, and long stretches of static background in "Gossamer Moon" combine to suggest the aura surrounding a delicately veiled moon. It was premiered by Steven Moeckel (violin), Cris Inguanti (clarinet), and Silvan Negruţiu (piano) on January 27, 2025, at the Kitt Recital Hall in the Kitt School of Music of Northern Arizona University. Its European premiere at the Arnold Schöenberg Center in Vienna, Austria, by Ernst Kovacic (violin), Stefan Neubauer (clarinet), and Mathilde Hoursiangou (piano), took place on October 7, 2025.
