Woodwind Quintet

Composer's Note:

"Voices of the Unseen" for woodwind quintet was written for and commissioned by the Quintet of the Americas with support from the New York State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Composer Commission program. The quintet explores various modes, characters, and energies that are influenced by the composer's composite Chicano background, which incorporate reimaginings of native musics, Spanish renaissance music, and sacred music in a classical contemporary context while allowing each instrument to shine.
