Composer's Note:

During the recent Covid-19 crisis I had a lot of time to fill. I amused myself by composing these pieces. There are four fugues and nine preludes. They can be performed individually in any order or combination. In keeping with the "olden style' idea there are no dynamic indications. In addition, though the score is for a keyboard set-up they may be performed by any three or two instruments.

Structurally, each piece is based on or derived from a descending five-note series of pitches and its inversion. This provided the possibility of a free tonal-atonal environment.
