Composed for Bruce Hammel, and performed by him during his trip to China. The three short movements juxtapose whimsical and lyrical material in varying orders and lengths.The third bagatelle is a minature Tarantella. Registral placement and the occasional use of arpeggiated figuration helps to fill out and substitute for full harmony or multi-voiced writing.
