EVENING SONGS

Clarinet

The first movment, "For Barney," a tribute nod to composer Barney Childs (1926-2000), is composed around a small fragment that derives its pitches from the name Barney. Ambiguous moods - " a gruff and somewhat indifferent exterior, hiding the thoughtful and caring soul within."

Reprinted by Milcreek Press in 'Festschrift for Barney Childs', 1992.
