Virtuostic work in three movements for piano trio.
Each of the three movements of this work are given titles that describe their
overall mood. In general, the level of intensity of the piece relaxes from beginning to
end, and the instrumental writing is challenging, energetic and virtuosic. The individual
movements begin by stating the same chord in various ways, and there are a variety of
motivic connections between each of the three movements that hold the piece together as
a cohesive whole.
