Composer's Note:

Composed for harpist Joseph Rebman in the summer of 2021, A Year Later is a meditation on living through momentous historical change. The piece reflects the quiet that follows when day-to-day survival gives way to adaptation to a new reality. Opening chords create a sonic texture of reflection, giving way to lyrical memories created with themes that change organically, merging into one another as thoughts take their shape and then pass.
