Richard Cameron-Wolfephoto courtesy Lenny Foster, "In Focus" Taos NewsFounded in Taos, NM, in 1974, by Noel Farrand, Harold Geller, and Richard Cameron-Wolfe, the Friends of American Music (FAM) Festival has presented chamber music concerts in Northern New Mexico and in conjunction with the New Mexico Music Festival and the Angel Fire Music Festival for almost 40 years. Founder Richard Cameron-Wolfe (pictured at left), recently completed a Russian tour, "A Rainbow of American Piano Music" in four cities. During his tour, his own works, Lapis Lazuli and Roerich Rhapsody received excellent performances by Russian musicians. Cameron-Wolfe is involved in developing the Custodial Program at ACA, which preserves, promotes, and disseminates - in perpetuity - the music of deceased American composers.
