Composer's note: Explosion of the Senses was written for Christopher Creviston and the magnificent Arizona State University Saxophone Ensemble who provided a spectacular premiere performance.

Fireworks go off! Streams of light and sound! A sudden flash, a delay, and then an explosion that penetrates all your senses. You feel the impact against your body; make it a part of your soul. Thick streams of light spiral into the void, momentarily disappearing before shattering the darkness with stunning colors and sounds. Layer upon layers of patterns create a wondrous tapestry that leaves the audience in awe.
