Frederic Chopin

Étude Op. 10, No. 6

Étude Op. 10, No. 6

Two Marimbas

Arranger's Note:

Chopin's E-flat minor etude is one of his saddest pieces. Known as the "Lament," its deeply expressive melody is supported with unusual harmonic progressions and a murmuring sixteenth-note accompaniment, very chromatic, that runs throughout the piece. This arrangement has the players take turns on melody and accompaniment.
