Approach of Winter

Composer's Note:

This is the first choral work in an ongoing project I call my "Little Pieces""”pieces which are small in scope, that I write in a fairly short amount of time (usually a day or two), relying on my instinct and "toolbox" of techniques to guide me. The other pieces in this series have been solo piano music and art songs.

I write these pieces when I'm feeling stuck or if I'm between large projects. They're a good way for me to score a quick "win," which usually recharges my creative batteries.

I came across this William Carlos Williams poem in late 2022 and immediately fell in love with it. Setting it for SATB chorus was both a joy and a unique challenge.

We ship world-wide using US International Postal Mail - Priority, First Class International Mail, or UPS Global. In the US, we usually use US Priority Mail or Media Mail or UPS Ground services.

Return Policy

Any other use of the PDF files may require additional permission from ACA. Purchase and download of PDFs does not automatically include performing and recording rights.
