At ACA, part of our mission is making all our archival works available and modernizing editions when possible. Every year, we digitize, typeset, and publish hundreds of works from legacy composers. 

But, with thousands of works in our archives and back-catalog - and more historical works found every day - we rely on donations and volunteer efforts to support greater efforts. All the archival or manuscript pieces in our catalog can be brought to historic or modernized editions more quickly with your support.

The works here, in the Adopt A Work page, have enough information that we can estimate and share their costs for digitization or modernization. This works out, roughly, to $40/page for typesetting and proofing manuscripts, and $2/page for scanning, cleaning, and preparing archival works.

To support a particular work, donate the work's estimated cost and let us know what you're donating for. Your support will be noted in the front material of the new edition, and you'll receive a digital copy of the piece when it's ready. We also welcome non-specified donations, which help support all our works being restored or modernized.
