The Death of Webern by Michael Dellaira, composer and J.D. McClatchy, librettist is set in 1945, a mere five months after the fall of Berlin. The composer Anton Webern was shot and killed by an American G.I. in the town of Mittersill, Austria.Why-- Musicologist Hans Moldenhauer is determined to find out.

In this witty farce, the highly contentious Metropolis Opera Company struggles to program its upcoming season from a mausoleum, with assistance by a "temp" and an iPhone navigator. After a series of disasters, some brought on by an opera producing app, a Deus ex Machina saves the company and the day.
The Pocket Opera Players was founded by MacArthur Award winner John Eaton to develop a new operatic genre, exploring the instrumentalists' participation as actors alongside virtuoso singers, close interaction with the audience, and the kinetic use of lighting with costume and prop elements.
