1992 micro-opera Lonesome Dove A True Story will be presented on the
April 6, 2014 opening concert of the 43rd annual John Donald Robb Composers
Symposium - at 5:00PM in Keller Hall at the University of New
Mexico-Albuquerque. Lonesome Dove is scored for tenor saxophonist,
watcher (dancer), and portable darkness. The production features
saxophonist Sarah Mae Jenkins, Luz Guillen, dancer
Luz Guillen, and a critical third element
- designed by Richard Hess. This years Symposium is subtitled Beyond
Borders and its participants include New
Mexico, national, and international composers and
musicians.
