Richard Cameron-Wolfe and Volodymyr Runchak present "Border Crossings" at the Tenri Cultural Institute on March 11 at 8:00PM.
"Border Crossings" is a celebratory cultural exchange featuring premieres by American composer Richard Cameron-Wolfe and visiting Ukrainian composer-conductor Volodymyr Runchak. This event has a superb lineup of seasoned NYC and LA "new music" performers, including trombonist Jen Baker, pianists Gayle Blankenburg and Irena Portenko, double bassist Ken Filiano, soprano Elisabeth Halliday, flutist Rachel Rudich, bassoonist Sara Schoenbeck, Jordan Smith's Manhattan Saxophone Quartet and Epoch Duo --- plus a special guest appearance by actor Kevin Kline, as The Poet, in the premiere of Cameron-Wolfe's micro-opera "A Sound-Shroud for Bill Knott" (Bill Knott, the revered American poet who passed away in 2014).
