This year's annual Piano Festival by the River in St. Mary's City, Maryland, will feature faculty artists from St. Mary's College, pianist Eliza Garth with guest artist Betsy Bates, Soprano. The theme of "Songs in the Night" will include music by Brahms-Busoni, Bach-Petri, Copland, Primosch, Hogan, and the world premiere of David Frooms Variations on an Early American Tune. Froom's new work is a set of variations on the tune Holy Manna by William Moore from his The Columbian Harmony of 1825.
