Presented by The Friends of Education of The Museum of Modern Art, Conversations: Among Friends explores works of art as reflections of their political and social contexts.
Tuesday evening's program features the premiere of Richard Hunt Sculptor,
a film by Charlie Ahearn, followed by a conversation between artist
Richard Hunt, Ahearn, and curator and public art and urban design
consultant Kendal Henry.
Following the program, guests are invited to
continue the conversation and meet the artists at an intimate reception
catered by Fantasy Fare in the Ronald S. and Jo Carole Lauder Lobby. The
collectible accompanying the program will feature a commissioned essay
on Hunt penned by Naomi Beckwith, Curator, Museum of Contemporary Art
(MCA), Chicago.
Composer TJ Anderson with sculptor Richard Hunt, in the artist's studioMusic by Hunt's longtime colleague, composer T.J. Anderson, will also be performed at the reception.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m. Program begins at 7:00, followed by a reception at 8:30. Tickets ($35) can be purchased online, through the Friends of
