"On Night" cycle by David Fulmer Austrian Cultural Forum, Dec. 11th2011 ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composers Award winner for his Violin Concerto, David Fulmer has had a busy year. His concerto has received international attention over this past season
with numerous performances with major orchestras and festivals.
On Sunday afternoon, December 11, the Argento New Music Project highlights virtuoso performers witih a concert of music by composer David Fulmer, featuring saxophonist Eliot Gattegno, at the Austrian Cultural Forum in New York City, 11 East 52nd Street.
Inspired by the works of Edvard Munch and the woodblock prints of Hideo Hagiwara, Fulmer's cycle, "On Night" is composed in contrasting profiles of light and dark. A discussion with the composer and performers will follow the recital, as well as a reception, featuring microbrews created especially for the occasion.
