Cary New Music Fund Press Release 2011ACA, among 50 other professional music organizations and presenters in the five boroughs of New York City, was awarded a grant for its upcoming 2012 season, during which ACA will celebrate the 75th anniversary of its founding in 1937 by Aaron Copland and other composers. These prestigous awards, given by Meet the Composer, are for organizations and presenters that are primarily or exclusively dedicated to supporting and presenting new works by living composers through electronic music, jazz, multimedia, opera, chamber ensembles, and more. ACA received its first award recognition from Meet the Composer in 2010.
