The Festival opens this year on April 27th at BRIC House, with its first-ever Brooklyn-based bill, hosted by Terrance McKnight and featuring mandolin player Joe Brent, the Meehan/Perkins percussion duo, and Hotel Elefant. Brent plays his own NaNo and an arrangement of Animal Collectives Summertime Clothes, Todd Meehan and Doug Perkins perform Paul Lanskys composition Travel Diary, and Hotel Elefant playsLife Cycles: Salt Mound, by John Glover, as well as cause du soleil Flow Trio, by Richard Carrick. Additional concerts will feature ICE, the Daedalus Quartet, and Duo Gazzana.
