John Eaton's "Lettere" to be performed by the American Modern Ensemble at Lincoln Center

John EatonCelebrating John Eaton's 75th birthday, AME will perform Lettere, a setting of Poems of Michaeli Ranchetti, for Mezzo Soprano, flute, harp, and string quartet -- on Monday, February 8th, 2010, at 8pm. World Premiere of John Eaton's opera, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Save the Date: John Eaton's new opera, based on the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, premieres June 15, 2010 at Symphony Space's Sharp Theatre, featuring a libretto by Estela Eaton and the performing ensemble, Pocket Opera Players. The production is being staged by New York's Center for Contemporary Opera, and will be co-produced by the American Composers Alliance.

ACA moves uptown

The corner music shop in Washington Heights is open for business. Nestled in a neighborhood full of musicians, composers, and kids on skateboards, the new ACA office is located on a breezy corner with a view.
