World Premiere of Louis Karchin's Luminous Fields, Philadelphia, Feb. 27th

On Friday, Feb. 27 at 6:00 PM, Philadelphia's cutting-edge Network for New Music will present four commissioned works, including the premiere of Louis Karchin's latest chamber work, Luminous Fields, for flute, cello, percussion and harp. All of the works were inspired by paintings in Philadelphia's Barnes Collection, and the concert will take place at the museum itself. The concert will be repeated at West Chester University, outside Philadelphia, on March 3.

Network for New Music and the Barnes Foundation proudly present new major commissions highlighting their 30th Anniversary Season. Join them on February 27th from 6–9 pm for the world premiere of four new works by American composers who respond to art and architecture at the Barnes.
