Subversion: Music about Conflict, Politics and War is a chamber music
program presented by TENTH INTERVENTION consisting of four pieces by
different, living composers, all inspired by the tragedy, drama, and
heartache evoked by conflicts and war. Four composers, inspired by the
tragedy, the drama, and the irony of conflict have come together to
present stories of humanity.

Each work represents a different perspective of the human experience
touched by war: a soldier in troubled Vietnam, the melancholy of American
civilian life, identities fractured by centuries of intolerance, and the
capacity of individuals for aggression and violence. The program will
begin with an opening statement from CPL Shamus Smith (USMC/USARNG)
