Afterworld (Finale movement) to be performed by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra at the National Flute Association Concerto
Concert on August 10, 2013 with Carol Wincenc, Flute, and
Ransom Wilson, Conductor.
The third movement, BACCHANAL, combines aggressive rhythms and the ground bass from earlier movements into a furious bacchanal
that demands percussive residual tones and stratospheric playing
from the flutist.
