New solo string works by David Froom featured at Klein Competition San Francisco, June 2

Congratulations to California Music Center, which received a New Music USA project grant towards the commissioning of David Froom's Eine Kleine Kleinmusik, for the 33rd Annual Irving M. Klein International String Competition.  The events will take place June 2 and June 3 in San Francisco. On June 2, all the semifinalists will perform from Violinetude or Violoncelletude from Ene Kleine Kleinmusuick. On June 3, the finalist may, if they choose, play it again. The work has also been arranged for viola or double bass and will be available for sale on composers.com in mid-June.  Eine kleine Kleinmusik:  Violinetude  -  Violetude  -  Violoncelletude  -  Contrabassetude.
