New opera by Michael Dellaira, with libretto by J.D. McClatchy, read-through Nov. 8th
On Saturday, Nov. 8th, there will be a libretto reading and the first sample of music from the new opera The Leopard by composer Michael Dellaira, based on the acclaimed novel by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa and currently in development at American Opera Projects (AOP). Award-winning poet J. D. McClatchy will speak about his work as both poet and librettist.
 
Mingle with the artists at an intimate reception between the talk and reading.
