On Sunday, May 20, at 7:30 PM at Miller Theatre, Columbia University, Karchin will have the honor of conducting the Orchestra of the League of Composers in a program featuring works by Samuel Adler (in honor of the composer's 90th birthday), John Harbison, Hayes Biggs, and Du Yun.

June 4-10, Louis Karchin joins composers Roger Reynolds, John Harbison, Liza Lim, David Felder, and Hans Thomalia as a guest composer at David Felder's ambitious June-in-Buffalo Festival.  Several recent works (and those of each of the guests) will be performed during a busy week of concerts.

The release of the premiere recording of Karchin's opera, Jane Eyre, is forthcoming on Naxos.  In addition, another album of smaller chamber works is planned for release, recorded over several years by three superb performers, Miranda Cuckson, Steven Beck, and Jacqueline Leclair.
