Music of Frederick Tillis and Jester Hairston, Pasadena, Feb. 11 & 25
Symphonic Spirituals by Frederick C. Tillis, and work songs, choral works, and theatrical pieces will be performed by the Afro-American Chamber Music Society Orchestra, as the AACMS celebrates its 30th Anniversary and Black History Month, under the direction of Founder/Conductor, Janise White. 

Symphonic Spirituals by Frederick Tillis will be performed as well as Nobody Knows the Trouble, by Dr. Jester Hairston.  Nolan Shaheed, trumpet, will be highlighted in the Tillis Spiritual Fantasy No. 6 for trumpet and orchestra, based on the spiritual song Sinner Please Don't Let This Harvest Pass.
