The concert will include among others, six world premieres, two USA premieres and one NY premier. The program will feature music by Diego Luzuriaga (Ecuador), Carolina Noguera (Colombia), Julio Racine (Haiti), Ursula Mamlok (USA), Leonardo Idrobo (Colombia), Natalia van Hissenhoven (Argentina), Allen Shawn (USA), Marcela Rodriguez (Mexico), Jay Fluellen (USA), Alba Potes (Colombia -USA), Erik Lundborg (USA), Camilo Mendez (Colombia), Heidi Jacob (USA),and Juan Orrego Salas (Chile). The series Las Américas en Concierto showcases music from North America, the Caribbean, Central and South America of the 20th and 21st centuries. The purpose of these concerts is to create cross cultural bridges through music, bringing to established and new audiences music that is unknown or rarely performed in the United States.
